Louisiana Assistive Technology Access Network - Baton Rouge - LATAN is a 501(c)(3) statewide nonprofit organization that connects individuals with disabilities and older persons to the Assistive Technology (AT) that enables independence in employment, school, and community living. Assistive Technology (AT) is best described as any device, technology, or aid that assists a person with any type of disability to be more independent, and able to perform a task.

Qualifying individuals or businesses that invest in the commercialization of Louisiana technology in Louisiana may be granted a refundable tax credit on any income or corporation franchise tax liability, and earn a refundable tax credit based on new jobs created.
