New Orleans Garden District Orchestra - New Orleans - The New Orleans Garden District Orchestra (NOGDO) was formed in 1994 and performs as the Garden District Trio & Quartet, Band and full sixteen member Orchestra. Jazz and Latin groove infused the Garden District Band performs from the Classic American Songbook repertoire with swing, ballads, bossa nova, samba and quasi-rhumba styles with a unique New Orleans feel. The Garden District Band performs in the style of the incredible, great, swinging piano groups such as Oscar Peterson, Bill Evans, Gene Harris, Ahmad Jamal, Wynton Kelly, McCoy Tyner, Bud Powell, Ray Brown, Vernel Fournier, Ed Thigpen, Modern Jazz Quartet and many others.
